This page explains how customers pay invoices and the supported payment methods in TallySale.

Hosted Checkout

When you send an invoice, the customer receives an email with a link to a hosted checkout page. This is a secure, TallySale-hosted payment page — you do not need to handle PCI compliance.

The checkout page shows:

• Invoice details (number, date, due date)
• Line items with descriptions and amounts
• Total amount due
• Available payment methods
• Your notes (if any)

Available on Business and Enterprise plans only:

Card payments are processed through the AYA Payment Gateway (PGW). Callback verification uses HMAC signatures.

Payment Flow

1. Customer opens the checkout link from the email.
2. Customer selects a payment method.
3. Customer completes the payment through the selected provider.
4. TallySale receives a payment callback confirmation.
5. The invoice status updates automatically to PAID (or PARTIALLY_PAID for partial amounts).
6. Both seller and customer receive a payment confirmation notification.

Manual Payments

If a customer pays outside the hosted checkout (e.g., bank transfer, cash), you can record it manually:

1. Open the invoice from My Invoices.
2. Click Mark as Paid.
3. Enter the payment amount and optional reference number.
4. The invoice status updates accordingly.

You can record partial payments — the invoice moves to PARTIALLY_PAID until the full amount is received.

Platform Fees

TallySale charges a platform fee on each successful payment:
